When will the first print run begin?
The first print run will begin once the funding goal has been reached through pre-orders and supporter packs. There is no fixed deadline. Monthly updates are shared via the newsletter so subscribers can follow progress.
How will I know when my book has been shipped?
Once printing is complete and orders begin shipping, you will receive a confirmation email. Updates are also shared on the website and blog so you can follow the journey.
Can I cancel or change my pre-order?
If you need to update or cancel your pre-order, please get in touch as soon as possible using the contact form. Changes may be possible prior to printing and dispatch. All cancellations and refunds are handled in accordance with our Refunds & Returns Policy.
Where are the books printed?
All books purchased directly through this website are professionally printed in Australia by Creative Print and Marketing as part of the independent first print run.
Books purchased through Amazon are printed separately using Amazon’s Print-on-Demand service.
What age group are the books suitable for?
Dixie’s Diaries is designed primarily for children aged 5–8. The stories explore themes of friendship, confidence, empathy, and belonging. The books are also well suited for parents reading aloud to younger children.
Will the books be signed?
Signed copies are included with selected Supporter Packs and feature signatures from both the author and Dixie. For in-person signings, the author will sign on the day, and Dixie’s signature is added using her official paw-print stamp.
Was AI used in the creation of Dixie’s Diaries?
Yes. AI tools were used to assist in creating the illustrations for Dixie’s Diaries. The artwork was then refined by the author as part of the creative process.
The story, characters, and overall concept of the book were developed by the author and inspired by real dogs and experiences.
Will there be more books in the series?
Yes. Dixie’s Diaries is a growing series, with multiple themed collections planned, including Dog Park, Learning, Adventure, Comfort, and Special Additions. You can explore the full vision for the series on the Series Outline page.
Is Dixie a real dog?
Yes. Dixie is a real Sheltie whose personality and experiences inspire the stories throughout the series. You can read more about Dixie’s in the Meet Dixie blog post.
Many of the dogs featured in Dixie’s Diaries are also based on real-life dogs from our local community.

Yes. Dixie’s Diaries is an independently created and published series, with community support helping bring the first print run to life.
Can schools or libraries order or use resources?
Yes. Schools and libraries are welcome to enquire about bulk book orders via the contact form.
Activity downloads may be used for personal and classroom purposes but are not permitted for resale or redistribution.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes. Discounted rates may be available for larger orders, especially for quantities of 50 copies or more. Final pricing will depend on volume and shipping location.
